Culture - Creating A Championship Culture

  • Understanding that a team with a positive culture is always HARD to beat.

  • Focus on creating a positive culture and team chemistry with a focus on team excursions, team activities, and a positive atmosphere.

  • Assuring the team environment reflects the vision, goals, and philosophy for coaching both on and off the court.

  • Creating a WE mentality, emphasizing that team success comes first and individual success will follow.

  • Recruiting student-athletes that fit the culture of the team and compete with toughness, intensity, and unselfishness.

  • Challenging student-athletes to bring their best effort on and off the court.

Ambitious - Achieving Goals Through Hard Work

  • Dedication to the program and student-athletes beyond basic preparation for practice and games.

  • Identifying areas of growth for individual student-athletes and as a program through constant studying of game and practice films.

  • Diligent scouting report of opponents and their personnel to ensure readiness for student-athletes and the coaching staff.

  • Willingness and commitment to develop and prepare student-athletes for games through highly crafted individual workouts and a challenging practice environment.

  • High energy and commitment to the University’s and Program’s mission and values.

Relationships - Relationships Are Foundational

  • Building individual relationships with student-athletes to help them grow both on and off the court

  • Cura Personalis - Caring for student-athletes as a whole, actively caring for their education, mental health, and physical health as well as their on-court abilities .

  • Commitment to treating all student-athletes equally and fairly, regardless of playing time, status, or class year.

  • Cultivating positive relationships with other athletic staff, university staff, and faculty members to ensure student-athletes receive the full experience of their collegiate career.

  • Understanding the value of alumni and keeping them engaged with the program and the benefits for current and future student-athletes.

  • Continue using my network to help improve the program and student-athletes athletically, academically, and after graduation.

  • Being aware of the mental-health of student-athletes, advocating for their mental-health and supporting them on and off the court.

Evolutionary - Constant Adaptation And Growth

  • Consistently learning on and off the court to be a better mentor for student-athletes.

  • Staying up-to-date on coaching strategies, drills, video techniques, and creativity to continue improving the program and staying a step ahead of the competition.

  • Analyzing opposing team's scouting report, team data, and trends to ensure readiness to compete at the highest level.

  • Finding and utilizing resources to constantly improve student-athlete skillset and growth.

  • Always ready to combat adversities head first, creating and discovering solutions for any problems.
