I have always been a believer in giving back to the community and doing my part to better the lives of others and the world. I am an advocate for various causes and will continue to make efforts toward helping others in need. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities in my life, and giving back is one of my ways of saying thank you.

I was granted a unique opportunity to spend my Christmas break in Rutledge, Tennesse, building a home for a foster care family. It was incredible to experience the community and mission of Global Outreach. I learned from the individuals within my group and gained new experiences.

Teach For America

After college, I joined Teach For America (TFA) and spent two years in Houston, Texas, working in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom. I learned so much from my students, coworkers, and the vast network of TFA. I will always fight for educational equity, even if I am not in the classroom myself.

Students For FairTrade at Fordham University

For three years, I was granted a leadership role as part of the FairTrade chapter at Fordham University. Through a collective effort, we got Fordham University a FairTrade certified campus and continue to spread the awareness of FairTrade to the Fordham Community.

Special Olympics at Fordham University

I believe in Special Olympics' mission and allowing all individuals to enjoy and be part of sports regardless of their mental disabilities. As a member of the executive board for the Special Olympics chapter at Fordham University, I helped put on a Red Out fashion show with Special Olympic athletes to bring awareness to the use and end of the R-Word.
